MacKenzie Currie

MacKenzie Currie serves as the Program Coordinator at Black Mothers’ Breastfeeding Association, supporting the coordination and day-to-day operations of the organization’s programs and training initiatives. She manages logistics for BMBFA’s Community-Based Doula and Breastfeeding Peer Counselor training, supports event planning, coordinates program schedules, maintains documentation, and facilitates communication with staff, trainees, and community partners.

MacKenzie collaborates closely with program leadership to ensure the smooth implementation of programs and community events aligned with BMBFA’s mission. She also assists with program data tracking, communications, and outreach, and represents BMBFA at community meetings and partner convenings.

MacKenzie holds a Bachelor of Science in Global Studies and Social Impact with double minors in African-American Studies and Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies from Grand Valley State University. She is currently pursuing an MBA at Wayne State University, concentrating in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Her work directly supports BMBFA’s mission to reduce racial inequities in breastfeeding and improve maternal and child health outcomes for Black families.
