What Are Mommy Ambassadors?

Founded in 2018 by Kiddada Green, Malikah Garner and Victoria Washington, the BMBFA Mommy Ambassadors are the powerful voices and shining faces of the Black Mothers’ Breastfeeding Association (BMBFA). More than advocates, they are community leaders, mothers using their stories, strength, and passion to drive change.

As the heart of BMBFA’s advocacy, Mommy Ambassadors speak boldly on behalf of Black mothers and families, helping to shape conversations, influence policy, and build a more equitable world for the next generation.

From Our Ambassadors

“Being a part of BMBFA is the gift that keeps on giving. When I became a Mommy Ambassador over 7 years ago, I could not have imagined how much of a blessing this opportunity would be. I’ve helped my community, gained sisters, grown as a leader, and built a career. BMBFA Mommy Ambassadors are known for our tenacity, bravery, and commitment to Black women and babies. I found a deep sense of purpose here that I’ll carry for life.”

A Word from an Inaugural Ambassador

“BMBFA was such an instrumental part of my breastfeeding journey, and I was so grateful for the opportunity to become a Mommy Ambassador. I found community among fearless, bold, and committed women. It’s been an honor to advocate for breastfeeding rights and safe spaces for mothers, and to help shape policies that support birthing and breastfeeding women. I am forever grateful.”
Victoria Washington, Inaugural Mommy Ambassador
